EDLT 5110

This course introduces the core principles, theories, and practices that shape the field of learning design and educational technology. Students explore how people learn and how instruction can be systematically designed to improve learning outcomes across diverse environments, including K–12 education, higher education, workplace training, and digital learning spaces. Key topics include foundational learning theories (such as behaviorism, cognitivism, and constructivism), instructional design models, and the role of emerging technologies in teaching and learning. Learners also examine the ethical and accessibility considerations involved in designing inclusive and effective learning experiences.
