Statement on Teaching, Learning, and Technology (Lifeguard Instructor Perspective):

Learning is the process of gaining the knowledge, skills, and confidence to act effectively, especially under pressure. As a lifeguard instructor, I believe that teaching is not just about delivering content, but also about creating real-life scenarios that prepare students to make critical decisions. Technology enhances both teaching and learning by enabling realistic simulations, immediate feedback, and broader access to safety protocols and training tools. When used intentionally, it supports deeper understanding and helps bridge the gap between theory and lifesaving action.
